Father's Day 2014

I had a grand and great day on my second Father's Day.  I was thinking of writing in voluble fashion all about what it means to me to be a dad, or point out all the delightful things about my boy, or the things I've been learning over the last year about and from my relationship with my son, my own dad, and my Heavenly Father, but I'm not feeling particularly long-winded, so in the end, I'll just say that I'm so glad to be Da-da, and I'm ever so grateful for The Wife for everything she has done to make me one.
Now THAT'S what I call breakfast in bed...

First time on the tramp, one millionth time in my heart. (Oh, so squishy!)
My Father's Day sketchbook contribution (done a few weeks before, also posted on our art blog.)  He has his moments, but I still love that boy so.
Happy belated Father's Day, fathers of the world!

One More Note about Wisconsin...

By the way, I ended my report a little abruptly and I don't think I took the time to sufficiently express how grateful I am to Mom and Dad, especially lately. They took me on such an amazing trip and were such good sports while I carted them all over the state of Wisconsin at all hours of the morning and night, and were so great while I introduced them to dozens of people, many of whose speaking they couldn't even understand. It was really important to me that Mom and Dad see and experience part of the great things I did for the last two years, and was really thankful we could make it happen. They were a huge hit with the people there, and were really awesome in situations that could be sometimes awkward. Mom was shy to meet some of the new people, but she is always gracious and friendly and winning. Dad is just brilliant too, and he has something to talk about with everyone. (Oh, and FYI, I have put a lot of pictures up on here, but there are even more on facebook if people are interested. I didn't want to overload the blog with pictures, but I definitely don't mind overloading facebook with them.) I'm pretty sure I have the beyyyst parents in da wurld.

You're the best! Thanks again for everything, and I miss you already. Call anytime.

T@B

I know that Mum will probably end up doing a full-fledged blog post about the joys of their newest acquisition, but I think I will post a picture of it anyway, to whet everyone's appetite for coming attractions. They were both so cute and excited for their new hobby and home-away-from-home, and in fact, have spent almost every night since they bought the thing sleeping in it up in the mountains. Dad has a brand new hobby, learning everything about how it works and its many features, and Mom is enjoying giving it homey touches. Already they have used it more than the previous owners.

It was a great deal, and the couple who owned it before were very nice indeed. So here it is, teardrop-shaped and with yellow trim. All right, Ma, let us all know of your adventures! (Or misadventures?...)

Incidentally, the thing is called a T@B (read: 'tab'), for some reason, hence the title of this post.
