HA HA HA!!!!

I really had no intention of blogging anything in any way pertinent to the release of Sister Meyer's new book, but when I saw the following I was quite amused. Thanks to Mandy for pointing this out to me:

Cliffs Notes of Twilight (borrowed from this blog)

Edward: I hate Bella.

Bella: I love Edward. Oh his eyes! What should I do? Whine, whine, whine.

Edward: OK, I don't hate you, I just have no self-control (typical guy), oh, and I want to kill you.

Bella: I love Edward. Oh his eyes! What should I do? Whine, whine, whine.

Jacob: I love Bella too, but I want to kill her. And Edward.

Edward: I want to kill Jacob.

Bella: I love Edward and Jacob. Oh their eyes! What should I do? I know, I'll lead both of them on and just whine the entire time.

Edward: Look, I'm shiny!

Jacob: Look, I'm strong!

Bella: Whine, Whine Whine.
Brilliant! "Oh, their eyes!" Ha. For the record, I AM planning on reading Breaking Dawn, at least eventually. Elise and I talked about it earlier today and even she didn't have an interest in going to a bookstore release party. I'll get around to it, and when I do, you can probably count on a review of it here.

  1. Ahaha, perfect. I always thought Bella was a whiner. Great plot summary. We shall see what happens tomorrow! OooooOOOOooooo.

  2. I showed that to some of my friends and the ones who love Twilight were horrified and offended. I still haven't read the book (I'm not sure if I will or not, they just don't appeal to me, I'm not into huge romance books), but they can't give me any reason to read it other than the romance.

  3. K here's my thought. "Look, I'm shiny!" did make me giggle a bit... But frankly, as far as satires go, that coulda been better.

  4. It could have been better, but then it would have been longer. It reminds me of those old Hollywood Video commercials where they'd do the movie in 30 seconds or whatever. Some of them were dumb, but every once in a while you'd get a winner.

  5. So true. Even more so in this last book. I say BOOOO to it.

  6. um that is hilarious! I guess I don't have to read all the books afterall! thanks for the "cliff notes"- I like the books but not in love with them just yet. (a little bit H.S. silly-ness for me)
